A hardcover spiral bound book. Pages are printed in Risograph, vinyl sleeves are color prints on folded inkjet films.
Book contains 4 x 7″ lathe-cute vinyl records.
Each record contains a 6 minute audio track of home recorded sound.
All elements of this projects were made during at home during the global COVID-19 pandemic. The book and audio consider the passage of time within a year where daily routines merged into domestic loops.
Most of the sound for the audio comes from an electric guitar of Kitamba played through a BOSS loop pedal. All music is improvised and recorded live to tape, but edited and woven together with digital editing. Each 7″ is a collage of 3 separate recordings, compiling to represent the 12 months, across 4 seasons within the year of March 2020 to March 2021.
