This work features text written by Kris Neises. He is a wonderful father, writer and musician.
I’m trying to find a purposeful way in which to re-engage with printed materials, that, for one reason or another, I cannot utilize as collage elements or live with as finished works independently. These are printed images that have accumulated in my studio over the years. They are efforts of mine, former students, friends and acquaintances*. Repurposing them as surface for new ideas is not a vindictive act, rather, the best way I can think to use this material for its original, intended purpose; art.
