A series of modular woodblock monoprints created during a weeklong residency at InCahoots in Petaluma, CA, August 2022.
Each work was made through unique stencil-making and arrangement of smaller pieces all printed simultaneously. Some elements of these works feature a pressure-printing technique utilizing cut vinyl to establish different intensities of a particular ink color.
This weeklong residency was quite generative and resulted in approximately 20 works, 10 of which are depicted here. Considerations of time, locality and routine come to mind alongside contrast, mirroring and duality.
