I love creeks and the music they make.
And rills, in glades and meadows, before
they have a chance to become creeks.
I may even love them best of all
for their secrecy.….The places where water comes together
Raymond Carver – Where Water Comes Together with Other Water
with other water. Those places stand out
in my mind like holy places.

A group of eight 1/2 sheet monotype collages, some with alcohol marker drawing, made between studio and home in June and July of 2025.
Each began with a loosely improvised background, printed in handmade ink made of plate oil and silver pigment powder. These shimmery surfaces offer a reflective field in which smaller, colorful elements emerge, play, modify and solidify. Each work departs from the silvery surface and builds, offering something fluid and something stable.
Like light on moving water, like mental constructions and intrusive thoughts, like the forces at work around us, pushing and pulling.
